We have over 20 years’ experience in this field and an exceptional success rate. This process starts by gathering information and spending time with our clients to build a strong application so that we can achieve the right result for them.
The Business Innovation and Investment Program is a significant component of the Skilled Migration Program. All visa applications under the Business Innovation & Investment Program or Business Skills require careful preparation and planning. Given that source of funds is a particularly complex area there are benefits to discussing your case with one of our team. No matter how similar, each business migrant or investor has their own story, making each application unique.
The objective of the Business Innovation and Investment Program is to encourage entrepreneurs and investors to come to Australia to the benefit of the Australian economy.
There are 3 main subclasses and each comprises a number of “streams”:
01. 188 – Provisional Residence
The 188 visa subclass is a provisional residence visa for just over 4 years initially. It is not permanent residence (PR) straight away. It is a two step process to permanent residence. Applicants must meet certain criteria for their business, investment and time spent in Australia to qualify for Permanent Residence through the 888 subclass.
If applicants cannot meet English language requirements they can opt to pay a second visa application fee to the Department of Immigration (DIBP) except for 188E applicants. All applicants need to be nominated by a State or Territory Government in addition to the DIBP processing.
02. 888 – Permanent Residence
Each stream of visa subclass 188 has its own stream in 888 and separate criteria to meet for eligibility to apply for Permanent Residency through visa subclass 888.
03. 132 – Permanent Residence
This is a Permanent Residence (PR) visa grant right from the start. It is one step to PR and not two. There are two streams to visa subclass 132.
